Please take a offline backup of database before migration/reinstall so that in case of problems you can restore the database from the backup image so that you will have the tables,views and other objects back for work.ĭatabase manager configuration,database configuration,profile registry,tablespaces and its containers,full offline database backup
Please check the migration procedure to V10.? Upgrading to DB2V10 is fine if you are able to connect to database from command prompt and view its configurations etc., it should also work if your database is ready for migration.If there is a problem with database then migration will fail.
If you wish to reinstall DB2 V9.7 then you need to take offline backup of the database and then drop or re install the DB2 V9.7 then restore the database so that your tables, views and other datas will be available, don’t change any paths associated with the database so that you can use simple restore, else you have to do redirect restore if the database paths needs to be changed.
